How do you know if your child needs a tutor? “Give them a chance to wrestle with a topic. But, if you notice that an increased effort is not helping and you see that they just need an extra connection, talk to someone about getting some help,” says Nancy Cardwell, a professor of child development, talking to CBS’s The Saturday Early Show.
She also provides the following tips, all ones we applaud:
- Seek a child’s teachers as partners
- Include the child in the process
- Decide on your objective
